Live Bands

Our bands are experienced and talented that look great and sound great, a band to be proud of at any function or venue. We can also source a range of other acts from blues, to reggae, to new orleans street, to hip hop... Any band you can imagine we can more than likely source for you!

Below are our core live bands that we book for:

Odette Mercy & Her Soul Atomics

With a succulent, sweet, soul-infused voice and a commanding stage presence, Odette Mercy is one of the most dynamic and entertaining front women you'll find. Her band, The Soul Atomics, have more than 50 years high-level performance experience between them. Their tight rhythm section, powerful horns and hypnotic guitar grooves bring a sophistication and energy to any event they perform at be it a corporate show, community event, wedding, birthday party or bar show.

Odette Mercy and Her Soul Atomics mean business!

OMAHSA have played much-coveted support slots for Seal (at Kings Park), Alice Russell and Menahan Street Band as well as playing on the bill at leading Perth events such as Houghton's Winery (for Spring in the Valley), Rottnest Comedy Festival & NYE party and RTRfm's Seriously Sound System in Hyde Park. OMAHSA is also a regular fixture at premier Perth venues such as Devilles Pad, Ellington Jazz Club and Funk Club.

Junkadelic

The Junkadelic Big Band are Perth's very own junk percussion and brass band! These guys are at the top of their game, combining self-made 'junk' percussion, brass horns, electric bass and guitar, vocals, dancers and a big band party vibe that is second to none! They are in high demand and know how to bring the carnival to any stage or street corner...and of course an environmental message as well.

As well as performances, Junkadelic also conduct interactive workshops for groups of all ages. Workshops include making and performing on junk instruments, ‘secondline’ Dance, Costume, Puppet, Junk Sculpture and Float building.

Funk Club House Band

Funk Club House Band is the face of the Funk Club. Performing rare and not-so-rare covers from the 60's and 70's funk/soul/motown era, the band is able to perform as a 6 or 7 piece band featuring female lead vocalist and horn section! Super fun and energetic they can guarantee to get any dancefloor pumping at any event whether it be a wedding, corporate function, pub show or birthday party! The House Band also has a Motown Tribute show which it's able to supply with additional backing vocalist quartet (Matching suits and dance moves!)

Grace Barbe

Grace is an experienced and vibrant performer with a strong stage presence. Grace's music reflects and celebrates the diverse influences of her home; a colourful combination of island styles mixed with reggae, soul, funk and afrobeat – a sound she describes as "Afro-kreol".

Thrice consecutive winner of the WAMi (Western Australian Music Industry) award for "Best World Act" Grace and her 4 piece band have toured Australia and the world appearing at major festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest, Woodford Folk Festival, Australasian World Music Expo, SAKIFO festival in La Reunion, and the Seychelles, opening the inaugural "Carnaval International de Victoria" to great acclaim. Grace has played support slots for acts such as Tony Allen, Fat Freddys Drop, Cat Empire and Antibalas.

Able to perform reggae covers as well as her own music, Grace is a great addition to any classy function looking for something different.

Randa & The Soul Kingdom

Randa And The Soul Kingdom are at the forefront of the Australian Funk/Soul arena. Their self titled debut album released worldwide on an international record label has allowed them to play sell out shows and festivals in the UK and Europe. If they don't have you and dancing in an instant with their brand of 21st century deep funk - you had better check your pulse! This 6 piece consists of a gritty horn section and a pocket rocket vocalist that will knock you sideways...be warned! If you like music played with authenticity with a 60's/ 70's influence then check out Randa And The Soul Kingdom.

Rum Skull

These bunch of scurvy dogs go by the name Rumskull. These scallywags can be found hoisting the jolly roger at any grog house starting a genuine, swashbuckling pirate party! Charming the wenches and bringing out the inner pirate in their men, they play original sea shanties and well known pirate favourites. The pirates themselves are WAMI award winning musicians!

So batten down the hatches as Rumskull can play until the rum runs dry or until the authorities get word of these jolly buccaneers taking over with their newly appointed crew!

Drink up me hearties, yo ho!
